Not all conjunctivitis is treated the same: bacterial, viral, and allergic need very different approaches.
Read →A cough is one of our body's defence mechanisms, but we know it can be truly exhausting, especially at night. At the pharmacy, the first thing we do is "listen" to your cough to understand what you really need. An irritated throat is very different from a congested chest!
This type has no mucus, is itchy and often makes the throat ache.
Here the cough has a mission: to expel the mucus that has accumulated in the lungs. We should never suppress it, but help it!
🍎 "Anti-Cough" Diet: Eat to Breathe Better
🤔 Myths or Truths? Let's Bring Order to Your Natural Remedy Cabinet
At the pharmacy we hear many popular theories. What truth is there in what our grandmothers used to say?
PARTLY TRUE: Onion releases compounds called sulphoxides that have an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect on the airways. It doesn't cure the infection, but it soothes irritation and helps you rest better if the cough is dry.
IT DEPENDS: Honey is a fantastic natural antiseptic (especially for dry coughs). But be careful with milk! If you have a productive cough with mucus, cow's milk can make secretions thicker and harder to expel. In that case, a hot broth or herbal infusion is better.
DANGEROUS MYTH: 90% of winter coughs are caused by viruses, and antibiotics only kill bacteria. Taking them without a prescription won't cure you, and will actually weaken your gut flora. That's why boosting your defences with Ergybiol (Nutergia) is a much smarter strategy.
We’ll ask 3–4 key questions and recommend what fits best based on your cough, your age, and your situation.
